18, 2005 Matheson Hosts Informational Meetings on Medicare Prescription Drug ProgramSalt Lake City, UT-Congressman Jim Matheson announces three meetings-one in Salt Lake City, one in Heber, and one in Hurricane-for seniors and their family members to help explain the impending Medicare Prescription Drug Program Matheson-along with representatives from the Social Security Administration, the Utah Division of Aging and Adult Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)-will welcome the public to the information sessions that will answer questions and will include details about selecting a plan and how to enroll. Matheson stressed that participation in the new program is voluntary. "Beginning January 1, 2006, all Medicare participants will be eligible for new Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Different plans will have different features, including which prescriptions are covered and which pharmacies will accept the coverage.
